Güncel kuvvet derecesi hesaplamalarında, oyuncu için başlangıç kuvvet derecesi yerine mevcut kuvvet derecesi; rakibi için mevcut kuvvet derecesi ile başlangıç kuvvet derecesi arasından daha yüksek olanı kullanılacak.

Remarks from the Ratings Commissioner
ICCF Congress 2011 decided on a new rating rule
The expected probabilty for a result is predicted by the rating difference of both players. What is this rating difference in CC ? Since 2000 we are using the difference in the startratings of both players, independent from their rating development during the game. This ensured that all games of a tournament were treated equally whenever they were finished. But with ongoing time the concept was more and more critized, not only due to some abuse. For new players the startratings were sometimes too low and damaged the rating of higher rated opponents.
The new formula will use the recent published rating for the player and the higher value of startrating and recent rating for the opponent. Using newest ratings for the calculation will surely lead to a quicker approximation to the players’ real strength. Using the opponent’s better value (startrating, recent rating) is a good compromise to consider a player’s development during the game and to avoid disadvantages if he goes down due to circumstances outside of the game. ---quoted text ends---
